Telco Patparganj complained of piston seizure problem in Cummins B series engine; conducted analysis and concluded that the connecting rod’s small end had less piston pin/bush clearance, which led to splitting of connecting rod and piston seizure; Cummins accepted the new product, previously put on hold. Ford India Ltd. complained about piston seizure at their test bench; analyzed complaint and detected pin jamming problem; explained reason to Ford India and amended assembly POS; Ford India accepted the product; received a letter of appreciation from Ford.
